Celebrities on Pole Dancing

Pole Dancing is for everyone! The house-wife, the professional dancer, the circus artist, the stripper, the boy next door (that’s right BOY!) and of course, the rich and famous. Here are the words of a few actors, musicians and other celebrities who have tried their turn at pole dancing.

Kate Hudson

  • “When you get into it, it’s almost like doing acrobatics.” (Source)
  • I recently started this really fun pole dance class. Well, every woman, when they take this class- and they should- realises pole-dancing is one of those things you don’t know you can do until you try. You go with a bunch of girls and have the best time. Every person who has ever taken the class walks out with their hair bouncing, gets in their car, puts on music and is like, ‘Wow! I love life!’” (Source)
  • “You can get obsessed with it. Personally, I’ve never been stronger from doing all these tricks. Now, I can climb a pole without using my feet!” (Source)

Michelle Ryan

(EastEnders actress)

  • “It was great fun and I have so much respect for the dancers. It is hard work.”  (Source)

Kate Moss

  • “I had lessons at Astral, that strip club. It was amazing exercise, we did it for toning as it was more fun than going to the gym. It is so hardcore: pulling your body up onto a pole.” (Source)
  • Watch Kate Moss pole dance in a music video for The White Stripes

Emma Roberts

(Julia Robert’s niece, and star of ‘Scream 4′)

  • “I started taking pole dancing classes with friends as a way to both work out and hang out. You don’t realize how much upper-body strength you need. It’s also a good way to build confidence.” (Source)

Lindsay Lohan

  • “It’s a really great work out on the pole because it takes a lot of upper body strength. I’m actually going to continue with pole dancing course because it makes me feel good.” (Source)
  • “I have bruises all over. That’s why I haven’t worn shorts.” (Source)
  • “Three hours of pole-dancing and bruised everywhere. I mean we’re talking upper and inner thigh action-bruised – like a walking black-and-blue mark. I mean really though, really, I didn’t know it was actually possible to have bruises in such areas of the body. Strippers dude, I tell you, I really respect the c***s now. I’m not gonna lie to you.” (Source)
